I have been working in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) since 1985 at the Center of Humanities Studies. 1n 1989, I moved to UTM Skudai with the establishment of the Faculty of Management and Human Resource Development. Currently, I am an Associate Professor at Department of Science, Management and Design, Faculty of Technology and Informatics Razak, UTM Kuala Lumpur.
My area of specialization is in the area of Managerial Communication and Human Resource Development in both government and private sectors. Among the subjects that I taught are Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and Organizational Development and Change. Besides teaching I am actively involved in research activities funded by the various ministries as well as the university. Currently I am conducting a contract research with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Departmentt of Syariah Court. I have been supervising more than 50 Masters and Doctoral students. I am an author and co-author of several papers and book at the national and international level. I have presented more than 15 papers at the national and international level and conducted several national training on HRD in Malaysian organization.
In addition, have been external examiners for a number of Masters and Doctoral students in Malaysia. At present I continue to be involved in developing postgraduate programs and courses for the university.
